The 26th of November, 20 high school students had the opportunity to enter the laboratory of Dr. Sandy Schmidt to learn about enzymes and their potential applications in green chemistry and sustainability. Through a series of experiments they discovered if an enzyme was functional, and how to measure enzymatic activity.
The activity was organized with the help of Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the context of Keuzecollege, a series of activities organized to let students explore the universities and potential future careers in an active manner.
